Dr. James T. Cassidy

The Cassidy Conference is named in memory of Dr. James T. Cassidy, an exceptional rheumatologist and professor who was considered “the father of pediatric rheumatology.” Cassidy was internationally recognized for his work in pediatric rheumatology and wrote the first textbook, “Textbook of Pediatric Rheumatology.” The conference is being held in conjunction with the 30th Anniversary of Camp Jambalaya Jubilee, for families of children with rheumatic illnesses. Dr. Cassidy was instrumental in starting this camp.
