Each year at the Camp Jambalaya Jubilee opening ceremony, a college scholarship is awarded in memory of a former camper, Kayla Foret of Houma, Louisiana.

Kayla passed away in 2001, but her warm smile and welcoming spirit have not been forgotten by her friends at the Jambalaya Jubilee. She was a true testament to the power of courage and we know she is proud of our graduating seniors.

With the support of her parents, Lynn and Ricky Foret, sister, Tiffany, and other close friends, the Kayla Foret Memorial Scholarship was established in 2002.
